Saint Mac KonKrete MusiK

Could you please tell our readers a brief background about yourself and how you started your business?

I’m an artist and I go by the name “Saint Mac.” I’m from New Orleans but also lived in five different states throughout the south. I’m 32 years old I’m Gemini I’m very independent godly protective with warm energy. I write and record all my music. I edit my music videos and keep them in-house. I’m open to working with any artist or genre. I have real lyrics and put my soul into my music and business.

I’m also an actor and a part of the show on Oprah’s Network. I own my very own independent label titled “KonKrete MusiK.’ I have been into music and writing since I was nine years old. I always let it be known anywhere I traveled that I was an artist. The name Saint comes from me being spiritually connected and also being a part of New Orleans. Mac is the alter ego side and comes from my last name McDonald. Also from relating name to a mac 11 or mac 90 but in a creative musical form.

Where did the idea for KonKrete MusiK come from? *

The name “KonKrete MusiK’ came about me thinking one day of what described my personality and energy. In the correct terms “concrete’ can also mean very detailed or solid which describes my lyrics. So I changed the C’s to K’s simply because the letter K is my favorite letter of the alphabet. My first name begins with a K and k to me also represents thousands of dollars and the slang term for AK-47 so I ran with it. My mission throughout my music and label is to push out bravery and spiritual awareness.

How did you get started in your industry?

I started rapping at the age of nine. I received musical gifts for Christmas since I was young and always had a vision of rapping, being on tv, surrounded by crowds as an icon. Throughout my life, the public continuously stared at me and made comments such as “you look like a rapper.” Which made me believe being an artist was my purpose. Later on, God sent me signals and signs that my vision as a kid was TRUE. I love writing and always found ways to record music and self-promote. I also learned the business by searching and reading a lot.
