How Dennis Koutoudis & Emily Pappas Develop LinkedSuperPowers, a Global LinkedIn Consulting Company
Dennis Koutoudis is the Founder & CEO of LinkedSuperPowers. An imminent LinkedIn specialist as well as a Social Selling expert. An ambitious entrepreneur with a certification in Social Media Marketing and Disruptive Strategy from Harvard University. He is also a renowned speaker.
So great to meet you both! Please tell us a little about yourselves and what business did you start?
We are partners in business/partners in life and have a 3-year-old son. We started LinkedSuperPowers 7 years ago after being employed as social media marketing managers in various companies from various industries (food industry, commodities trading, real estate & financial services).
In our early days as a couple, we decided to join forces professionally and create LinkedSuperPowers since we greatly believed in our abilities as LinkedIn Strategists and we wanted to share our knowledge and expertise with the world so as to help as many people as possible accomplish their professional goals. Hence we created LinkedSuperPowers.
How did you come up with the idea of LinkedSuperPowers
Describe the process of launching the business.
We began LinkedSuperPowers through a small home office in the area of Glyfada in Athens, Greece, initially focused only on Personal LinkedIn Profile Makeovers.
Fast forward 7 years, we have now launched LinkedSuperPowers Group which has offices in Athens, London, and New York while some of our projects require employing over 50 exclusive external associates to be completed.
Our current service offering includes LinkedIn Profile & Company Page Makeovers / SEO Optimization, LinkedIn Content Creation, LinkedIn Lead Generation, LinkedIn Training as well as a range of exclusive PR services.
Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?
Well, the main way we attract new clients is by using LinkedIn to get on the radar of our target prospects and actually make them come to us. This is exactly the same methodology we help/train our clients with.
Customers are retained if they see a Return on Investment. Also, happy clients (i.e. those who find a new ideal employment opportunity or land a number of new clients or investors with our help) usually refer us to acquaintances who in turn refer us to others and so on….
What is your main tactic when it comes to making more people aware of your brand and engaging your customers? How did your business stand out?
Networking with the right people through LinkedIn and forming solid professional relationships that lead to strategic long-term collaborations is key.
One way we stand out is that we really do care for our clients and the achievement of their professional goals and they can understand this from the first minutes of interaction with us. Our client’s success is our success.
How are you doing today and what does the future look like?
2021 has been the best year for us so far. We have helped numerous individuals and businesses to accomplish their professional dreams through the most effective presence, SEO, and utilization of the LinkedIn platform while simultaneously we have launched a range of exclusive PR services currently offered to a select number of existing clients of LinkedSuperPowers.
The future is looking even brighter as we’ll be considerably expanding our reach through new strategic partnerships.
Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?
Nowadays it is not enough to only work hard. You need to absolutely love what you do for a living, have an extreme and constant focus on your very specific goals, and work super hard and simultaneously in a super smart way if you wish to have a chance at professional success!
What platform/tools do you use for your business?
We strongly believe in using a few tools and doing so in the most effective way, rather than using many tools semi-effectively. So there will be no surprise that the platform we mainly use (over 15 hours each day) is LinkedIn and especially “Sales Navigator”.
What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?
It is common practice for us to try to read as many books as possible, and monitor relevant podcasts, YouTube channels, websites, Twitter chats, and other resources that are talking about our areas of expertise.
There is potential for us to be influenced by any one of these sources to a certain degree. We also offer our own practical wisdom to our community of over 3 Million Followers on Social Media, through our blog, YouTube, and Social Media Profiles.
Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting?
Carefully pick a niche and try to become the best of the best at it. Then try to become the most known specialist in your area of expertise.
Don’t give up on the first challenge but also know when it’s the right time to move in another direction.
